I’ve been flying in some form since 2008: single engine plane, skydiving, speedflying and paragliding. I love to be in the air! I have been flying steamboat for the past 4 years, and also fly several other local sites. My other hobbies include skiing, rock climbing, and ranching.

I’ve been flying paragliders since 2016 and tandems for the past 4 years. I learned to fly with Chris Santacroce of Superfly at the Point of the Mountain and spent my first season flying in Boulder, CO. From Boulder I moved west to Kremmling and Eagle (which one exactly depends on the season) where I have done the vast majority of my flying ever since. I primarily enjoy hike and fly type adventures and easy evening soaring with the local crew, but I’m willing to venture out midday for some XC flying when the conditions are looking great!

I’ve been a Colorado pilot for 22 years and I am a partner in AIR USA, together with Ben Herring, where we import the ATOS ridged wing gliders and Ego ultralight soaring trikes. I’ve flown all over the world and no place is better than Colorado.

I’m good at establishing priorities and was elected Vice President of the RMHPA for a year after I skipped a meeting to go flying…..
I’ve love racing gliders and have participated in races in Arizona, Texas and Florida. Most recently I flew in the Go-Long Texas event with Cowboy Up and had a personal best 225 mile flight.

I’m semi-retired from, the corporate IT world and now work part-time in Web3 which gives me the flexibility to pursue flying and skiing when conditions call.

This is my seventh season as a paraglider pilot. I have approximately 300 hours with a majority in the mountains of Colorado. I am P3 rated needing to test for my P4. I would like to obtain my observer rating as well in order to be a guide pilot for Steamboat. I am based in Grand County and have approximately twenty flights at Steamboat.
